Case study

Residence Palace
Belgian Government e-PR platform

Challenge

Résidence Palace (Belgian International Press Center) asked LBi to develop a content management system for the optimization of the management of the website that at the same time had to meet the technical requirements that were imposed in the RFP for the e-gov project (FEDICT).

The developed applications had to support the day-to-day activities of the Résidence Palace: spreading information on activities of the federal government in Belgium and its related services.

Solutions

LBi created a website and back-end CMS, so spokesmen can add and edit their press releases themselves without passing through an administrator. LBi also created modules for newsletters and included RSS feeds so that journalists and others can access the press releases.

In the back-end CMS, most spokesmen of politician use this medium to release their press releases. In the front-end, many people (journalists and citizens) registered on the website in order to stay up to date with news from the federal institutions in Belgium.
